Happy October! This week is 'S' week. We will be focusing on learning to write the letter and the sound the letter makes through different activities. This week you can support your child's learning at home by pointing out printed 'S' words and things that begin with 'S'. We will also be learning about shapes. Please point out different shapes wherever you go!
Homework
Here is the list of tasks to be completed this week. Please space out the activities throughout the week. The homework is meant to be done in small chunks throughout the week. Remember to return the homework folder on Friday.
1. Choose 3-4 activities from the October calendar
2. Draw/make a collage in the shape book of things you see that are the shape designated on each sheet. This can be returned on Friday, October 12th.
3. Make a collage/draw pictures of things that begin with 'S' in the yellow book
4. Complete the 'S' page in the handwriting book
5. Read 10 minutes a night and fill out the reading log
Johnson Family Farm
We will be heading to Johnson Family Farm on Thursday, October 25th. We will be leaving school at 11am and returning by the end of the school day. When we arrive at the farm we will eat lunch and then have our tour. We have enough drivers! Thank you to everyone who signed up! The cost of the trip is $7. Please send the money with your child to school as soon as possible.
